May show specific fears early on — useful to ‘nip them in the bud’ before they develop into phobias or deeply entrenched behavioural patterns. Fears may come from an ‘in womb’ experience.
MENTAL SYMPTOMS
Fears from known origin.
Specific fears of being abused, starved, strangers, men, vets, being groomed or clipped, lightning & thunder, firecrackers, heights, telephones, traffic, vacuum cleaners, confined spaces, death, pain, dark, water, damp cold, of insects following a sting, the smell of burning following a fire, other animals, even of their own species / sex, abandonment, losing their friends, phobias, shyness, timidity, introversion, strong feeling of insecurity.
BEHAVIOURAL SYMPTOMS
• Easily dominated by others, do not fight for themselves or their own pecking order.
• Excessive timidity, need much coaxing, hide when a stranger enters, withdrawn, difficult to interact with others.
